My favorite author of all-time, the Queen of Mystery
Agatha Christie
Sept. 15th 1890 - Jan. 12th 1976
A genius, in my mind, when it comes to mysteries and tricking her readers, Dame Agatha Christie would be 122 today!
I often turn to Christie when I finish a frustrating, boring, or horrible book to calm me down and remind me why I love reading. As my Bantam Leatherbound Agatha Christie book collection grows, I hope you too will find the solace I find in reading her tales as I have. Since at the time I am under the weather, I will post some links for you! :)
I haven't read any of her works, but I did see a play, "The Mousetrap," based on one of her books. It's nice that you honored her birthday! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks! Ooh, I haven't heard of that play, I'll have to check it out! I know another one of her books that started out as a play was The Hollow and Spider's Web (both really great books) but I love just about all of her books (I'm not too fond of the Tommy and Tuppence books, but that's probably because I'm measuring them up to her other masterpieces) I'd also suggest just about any of her Hercule Poirot detective books :D
